How to make a parachord bracelet

The boys were given a homework assignment.  They were asked to make a paracord bracelet.  They were each given 10 feet of paracord.  It is a good idea to have a length of rope handy.  We teach them about knot tying, lashings, use in first aid, building camp gadgets, whipping, fusing, etc.  These uses are described in the scout handbook.  If they want more materials, it was bought at REI in Boca Park.  50 feet of paracord is $4.25 plus tax.  REI sales paracord bracelets for $10.  http://www.rei.com/product/813707  They are approximately $8.50 (with shipping) on Amazon.com.  There are lots of great videos on youtube that show how to make the bracelet.  These seem to be the best:

Also, this guy has some awesome videos on things you can do with paracord:

WARNING:  Each boy will probably want to fuse the ends.  This involves fire/heat.  Please supervise.  Make sure nobody burns themselves on the melted

paracord or catch the house on fire.
