Red Rock Discovery Trail Hike

LETS DO THIS DESERT EAGLES!!!

We presented our First-Aid kits. (Traicer won our contest) We had to take them on the hike to get a requirement for our Second Class. We then  hiked the Discovery Trail at Red Rock. The hieroglyphs were so cool. (You can see them above in one of the photos) The hike counted as one of our required non-Troop Meeting activities. Also, we discussed the rules of safe hiking for our tenderfoot requirement.

Advancement Workshop

Attendance:  Br. Snelding, Br. Donalson, Jarrin, and Traicer

Requirements: Repeat Pledge of Allegiance (Boy Scout 4); Demonstrate the Scout sign, salute, and handshake (Boy Scout 5); Demonstrate tying the square knot (Boy Scout 6); Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath, Promise, Law, motto, and slogan, and the Outdoor Code (Boy Scout 7); Describe the Scout badge (Boy Scout 8); Participate in a Scoutmaster conference (Boy Scout 10; and Demonstrate that you know how to tie the following knots and tell what their uses are: two half hitches and the taut-line hitch (Tenderfoot 4b)
